Connecticut Ballet

[ June 1, 2008 to June 30, 2009. ] Connecticut’s premiere professional ballet company enters is 27th season with a summer tour throughout Connecticut, a fall production of ‘Romeo & Juliet’ at Bushnell and Stamford Center for the Arts, and a Spring ‘New Ballet Fest’ featuring four world premieres.

SoundWaters Ecology Sails

[ June 15, 2008 to October 26, 2008. ] Hoist sails to the rhythm of old-time sea chanteys aboard the schooner Soundwaters. Trawl for creatures that inhabit the underwater wonderland of the Sound. Lobsters, flounders, horseshoe crabs, sea stars, jellyfish - who knows what you’ll discover during your ecology adventure.

Philip Johnson Glass House Tours

[ September 10, 2008 to April 30, 2010. ] This famous modern home designed by renowned architect Philip Johnson and nested off Ponus Ridge in New Canaan is opening as a museum under the National Trust for Historic Preservation. Johnson bequeathed the 45-acre property to the national trust in 1986 and lived in the Glass House until he died two years ago.
