The New York Giants are a professional American football team based in East Rutherford, New Jersey. The team is headquartered, trains, and plays its home games at Giants Stadium at the Meadowlands Sports Complex in the suburb of East Rutherford, New Jersey. They are currently members of the Eastern Division of the National Football Conference (NFC) in the National Football League (NFL). The Giants were one of five teams that joined the NFL in 1925, but the only one admitted that year which still exists. The Giants have won a total of seven NFL titles: four in the pre–Super Bowl era (1927, 1934, 1938, and 1956), and three since the advent of the Super Bowl (Super Bowls XXI, XXV, and XLII). During their history, the Giants have featured 15 Hall of Fame players, including NFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award winners Mel Hein, Frank Gifford, Charlie Conerly, Y. A. Tittle, and Lawrence Taylor. The Giants are the reigning National Football League champions since winning Super Bowl XLII on February 3, 2008.

The Bluefish are a member of the Liberty Division of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, which is not affiliated with Major League Baseball. From the 1998 season to the present, the Bluefish have played their home games at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard.

The Brooklyn Cyclones are a minor league baseball team in the short season single “A” New York – Penn League, affiliated with the New York Mets. The Cyclones play at KeySpan Park just off the boardwalk on Coney Island. In 2005, the Brooklyn Cyclones became the major partner of the High School of Sports Management, a new small school located down the block from KeySpan Park on West 19 Street and Mermaid Ave.

The New York Yankees are a professional baseball team based in the borough of the Bronx, in New York City, New York. The Yankees are a member of the Eastern Division of Major League Baseball’s American League. One of the American League’s eight charter franchises, the club was founded in Baltimore, Maryland in 1901 as the Baltimore Orioles, moved to New York City in 1903, then becoming known as the New York Highlanders as well as the New York Yankees, and becoming solely known as the “Yankees” in 1913. From 1923 to the present, the Yankees permanent home has been Yankee Stadium. In 2009, they are scheduled to move into a new stadium, also to be called “Yankee Stadium”.
