Rain date, Sunday, May 6, 11 am to 3 pm
Spring brings many rites to the Museum, from the return of migrating birds to the arrival of new lambs and other baby animals. For the 9th consecutive year, the Museum will celebrate another of its spring rituals by holding its antique and classic car show. This year’s Model Ts to Mustangs will take place on Saturday, May 5, from 11 am to 3 pm.
Model Ts to Mustangs will be co-curated by David Greenberg, of Stamford, and Rosa Portell, the Museum’s curator of collections and exhibitions. On display will be American and imported cars manufactured from 1900 through 1979. This year’s special section is dedicated to the Studebaker.
The show will be judged and awards will be presented in several categories. Survivor cars will be judged separately. Participants may decline to have their cars judged, if they so wish. A People’s Choice Award will also be presented. The awards ceremony will take place at approximately 2:45 pm.
Proceeds from the Model Ts to Mustangs show benefit the Museum’s arts education and gallery initiatives.
